Kaisercraft Monthly Challenge January 2017

Here is my entry for this month's challenge over on the Kaisercraft Blog.

January 2017 Challenge

You have to create a pocket page using 4 of the items in a row on the above bingo board.

I chose Handwritten Journalling, Favourite photo, Printed papers only and special event.

Here is my layout about the day I picked up my Yummy Turquoise New Vitara.

I have used Captured Moments cards from various packs, Kaisercraft wooden embellishments, Kaisercraft bling and a Kaisercraft rub on.

I really love the Captured Moments cards, they add so much detail to the layout with very little effort.

Also loving the wooden embellishments. Here I have left them plain wood, but you can ink, paint or stain them as well.

Here is my entry for this months challenge.

I made a set of ten Christmas cards using Kaisercraft's Mistletoe collection from a few years ago and Kaisercraft bling. I was inspired by the mood board with the berries and these papers jumped out at me.

Here is a close up of the crackle stamp I used with the KC Antique Blue stamp pad.

It gives the paper a marble look I think.

Suitcase with Camera accordion fold mini album.

This is my second entry for the Kaisercraft Monthly Challenge.

When I saw the stack of suitcases on the mood board...I just had to make one.

It is the perfect place to store a mini album of a special trip or holiday.

It is made from Kraft cardstock and covered in a KC paper from the 

6 1/2 inch paper pad Vintage Timeless. 

This paper pad is also covering the camera shaped pages in the mini album below.

 Some mini post cards cut out from one of the papers and mounted onto cardstock to be used for journalling cards and photo spots, then stored in the pocket in the lid.

 Accordion fold Camera Mini.

I have used KC Lifes Treasure captured moments cards, the reverse side of KC Hummingbird paper, KC flowers, KC stitch rub on, KC bling, a button, paper doily and some mini alphas from my stash.

I just love this colour scheme so it was easy to put together a card with things I had laying around.

Missing In Action

Well it has been a month since my last post. I have been working. Yes i am back in the work force..atm i am doing some casual factory work just till i find something else i want to do... i am working in a dog biscuit factory..its not too bad. Glen is home atm with a bad knee so he is doing all the kid things. LOL.

Electricity bill OMG!!!!

I got our electricity bill the other day and OMG! I nearly fell over with shock....$372.00 for 2 months.... is this a joke? And...it is going up another 7% on April 1 and then another 10% on July 1. I could not believe it...so needless to say I have become the electricity nazi. Look out if you're wasting electricity in our house...I'm on the case! It has been rather hot here in Perth as of late and we have been working the air con...but still....$50 a week for electricity....not good!

I found the yummiest fettucine recipe that doesn't have a rich creamy sauce...I found it on http://www.taste.com.au/ and it is called Fettucine with roasted pumpkin and bacon. The only thing I added was some onion to roasting pan with the pumpkin...and I think it was worth it...mmmm roasted onions. Give it a try it is awesome.

Hijacked!

I haven't posted anything for a few days cause everytime I opened up my blog, I would get hijacked to all these other sites. Well after searching today, I found out it could be the hit counter I added so I deleted it and guess what...now I don't get hijacked anymore. So simple.
So hopefully now I can get onto posting some more info about my super fantastic amazing life....lol. Well hopefully someone will think it is worth reading about.

Welcome, I thought I had better get on the band wagon and create a blog. I read alot of amazing craft blogs and my only hope is, that I can create one with half as much inspiring info and projects as the ones that I admire.
